# - 4935 Pyrite (Fool's Gold)

$40.00

This cluster of octahedral pyrite crystals was sourced from the Huanzala Mine in Peru.

Pyrite is commonly referred to as fool’s gold, because it’s colour and metallic shine could be mistaken for gold by the inexperienced. Pyrite is a heavy mineral composed of iron and sulphur, which forms in cubic and octahedral shapes, often clustered together or intergrown with each other.
